I grew up in Australia where you have access to both local and Mediterranean olive oil of good quality. When coming to India, I found quickly that I missed olive oil in my food - so I went looking and found Jaypore, after trying imported olive oils. This not only tastes good but FEELS so good in the body. It feels medicinal.
I have no doubt this is quality olive oil extracted with care from well loved olives.
I use it in my Modern Australian ( influenced by Greek and Italian food) and Italian dishes, on salads and even in many Indian dishes.
So happy that there is a good quality Indian brand!
One of the better olive oils I have tasted in India. But opening the bottle was a pain since the cap was moving with the seal, making it frustratingly difficult to open without the intervention of a knife.
Great product 👌♥️
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
I had ordered 3 olive oil to just try out if they are good on September 2, 2024. I tried Kornoneiki, Frantoio and one blend. Seems like the shipment I got was old batch. There was not that great aroma of olive oil. So definitely not something I was expecting from local manufacturer.
Out of the 3 variety I tried Koroneiki & blend seems to have some aroma but not upto mark.
Extra virgin olive oil blend : 3.5 star
Koroneiki : 3 star
Frantoio : 2 star.
I had tried another brand Sol which has retained great taste and aroma over a year so I was expecting the these one to have some and taste good.
Also I would say these are better than Borges, Del Monte brand that you get typically in India.
