These oils have such a great taste, first I used the garlic one to make pasta for my daughter she loved it and then I used other flavours with my salads and my breads and I have been a fan since then honestly. The most important part is I could carry them with me during our short trips and staycations for healthy snacking.

The oil lacks strength & pungency, the reason why I like extra virgin olive oil is for it's pepperyness & pungency which this lacks, this oil fails to suffice my desire.

I switched from Colavita, the quality is good.

Frantoio Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I ordered all the 5 types of mono cultivars as well as the blended extra virgin olive oil. I ordered the mono cultivar 'barnea' and blended olive oil first, loved it. Then ordered the remaining 4 monocultivars.

I compared these blends against each other as well as against foreign brands such Colavita, Figaro and Borges extra virgin olive oil.

No doubt the Jaypore olive oil is of a far superior quality and has a lovely kick and is greenish golden unlike the foreign oils.

I believe that it's highly possible that the foreign olive oils have been subject to either 1) adulteration (olive oil mafia) and/or 2) Are old, as many have been sitting on the shelf for long before they are imported.

When I tried mixing the jaypore extra virgin olive oil with balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper to make a salad dressing, the salad dressing turned to be many times viscous and with a fantastic honey like taste compared to the foreign oils.

Based on this alone, I think their more expensive price is justified. I will be their customer henceforth.

However they need to improve a few things:

1) Dispatch: I needed to chase them down with repeated reminders for them to dispatch it.

2) It's difficult to open the bottle. When you try to turn the cap, the ring to which it is attached, also turns. So you need to cut open the ring before opening the cap. That has led to injures.

3) They stick the mono cultivars label on the plastic wrapper around the cap. So if you forget to restick the label somewhere on the bottle, you won't know which cultivars you are using. This is especially true in my case where I bought most of the cultivars at one time to test.

4) The bottle is coated in some green film and not actually green. This comes off when you wash the bottle. However this only affects if you are trying to repurpose these bottles for sauces etc on the table that need dark colored glass to extend their shelf life.

So these are the pros and cons. Love the oil but the packaging and dispatch could definitely use some improvements.

Here in Goa, we have been suffering an extended olive oil crisis with almost everything in all our stores being sub-standard or obviously adulterated. Italian, Spanish, however expensive, all very disappointing. Indian olive oil almost sounds like a joke, but my first impression of Jaypore's products have definitely given me hope. I think you're on to an excellent thing if you find a way to refuse to compromise and maintain the stricted standards possible. Good luck, you have a fan and supporter in me, and eventually I'll consider writing about you too.

After studying different olive oil on Amazon, I can't find what I'm looking for. But I found jaypore olives, and I was a a bit skeptical at first. The product arrived in a good package. Harvest date and bottling date are mentioned in the bottle as expected. I love the taste of Koroneiki among what I've ordered. Overall, the products are great. I will buy it again in the future.

It is a really fine product. However the lid was of poor quality and some oil seeped out while in transit. I wish they would fix this one issue.

This is my second bottle. In love with this.
Just one request please make the cap better, after breaking the seal, it becomes loose and you can not lock the bottle properly the cap becomes loose and slips off the cap threads.

This problem was there with my previous purchase as well so we can say it is consistent.

The product is good. Please improve the quality of the bottle cap. Does not break free easily when new, and the material is flimsy. Details matter. Also please try to use less plastic in your packaging.
