Fragrant and flavourful!

Really nice to find olive oil that was harvested within the past few months — unlike imported products, which can sometimes be far older. Hoping that the price goes down as popularity of local olive oil grows. The tasting notes mentioned on the website perhaps overstate the oil's complexity, but it is still a great oil for salads and ingredient-forward cooking. Excited to see what new flavours develop as Indian terroir creates its own niche.

I will compare it to EVOO from Urban Platter, which are Greek Koroneiki as well. Palate-wise the flavour is less sharper than the Urban platter one’s. The aroma is definitely better than those though since it’s quite fresh (Oct 23 batch using in December 23). Would appreciate better pricing and larger packaging sizes along with being organic certified for this price.

Flavour Notes

This oil packs a deliciously robust flavor profile, which evokes notes of various green apple and hazelnut, and finishes with a pleasant, peppery zing in the throat with a balanced bitterness, which is indicative of the high polyphenol count

Usage

Ideal for when you want to go all Greek and cherish the good old Santorini food. Make delicious hummus, dips, salads, and roasts using Koroneiki EVOO.
